Management Consultant, Senior (Strategic Planning)

Management Consultant, Senior Supporting a U.S. Navy customer, this Senior Management Consultant role focuses on readiness and sustainment support to improve operational availability and mission effectiveness while controlling cost and optimizing constrained resources. The role utilizes collaborative, data‑driven operating models that include end‑to‑end readiness ecosystems such as operations, maintenance, engineering, supply chain, manpower/training, and financial management. AI‑enabled approaches are a desired element of the solution to improve the speed, scale, and consistency of analysis and decision support. The work includes producing readiness assessments and decision‑support products; establishing and maintaining consistent readiness metrics and reporting; and integrating data from multiple authoritative and legacy sources to deliver actionable analytics and dashboards. Advanced analytics and, where appropriate, AI/ML techniques (e.g., forecasting, anomaly detection, natural language processing of maintenance narratives) are used to identify readiness drivers and constraints, improve predictive analytics, and inform trade‑space decisions that balance near‑term readiness with longer‑term capability objectives, including fleet legacy platform/systems sustainment and modernization transitions. This role may be offered on a part‑time basis, subject to program requirements. Location San Diego, California Responsibilities • Develop the strategic direction, vision, and mission for the program, collaborating with the program/project manager and senior client leadership to influence objectives of complex efforts.

• Provide insight and advice concerning strategic direction and applicability of up‑to‑date, industry standard practices.
• Conduct organizational studies and evaluations, design systems and procedures, conduct work simplification and measurement studies, and prepare operations and procedures manuals to assist management in operating more efficiently and effectively.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems management, mathematics, physics, operations research, statistics, or engineering from an accredited college or university, or equivalent specialized experience. Allowable substitution: six years of additional related work experience. Fifteen (15) years of related experience, with at least twelve (12) years of direct experience in strategic planning, including support of common strategic planning models and their applications, and working knowledge of strategic planning processes and disciplines across corporate/industry and military organizations. Prior experience as a Navy/Marine Corps Flag/General Officer and/or Executive Level DoD government civilian (O7‑O9, SES) is desired. Additional corporate management experience working with the manning, training and equipment functions within Naval Aviation, and superior knowledge of readiness and sustainment metrics may be considered favorably. Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Compensation Statement At Sabre Systems, LLC, compensation is based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, and contract‑specific requirements; however, final compensation will be determined by individual qualifications and applicable contract terms. The general salary range for this position is: $141,886.00 – $213,629.00.
