Senior Platform Software Engineer, OCI Planning

Salary: $92,500 - 209,500 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• We expect 4+ years of professional software development experience delivering production services or applications.
• We are looking for strong programming ability in Java, Python, Go, C#, or a similar modern language.
• We need experience building backend services, APIs, or cloud-native applications.
• We expect a solid grasp of software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, testing, debugging, and system design.
• We require experience working with relational and/or distributed databases.
• We value familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, source control, monitoring, and observability.
• We need strong problem-solving, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• We value experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Codex, Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools to improve delivery, testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Preferred: experience with distributed systems, scalable backend services, or workflow-based applications.
• Preferred: experience with data engineering, data pipelines, ETL workflows, streaming platforms, or operational analytics.
• Preferred: familiarity with infrastructure planning, capacity management, data center operations, hardware lifecycle management, or supply-chain workflows.
• Preferred: experience in a cloud infrastructure environment such as OCI, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Preferred: experience with Kubernetes, containers, microservices, or cloud-native deployment practices.
• Preferred: familiarity with Oracle APEX or low-code application frameworks.
• Preferred: knowledge of cloud infrastructure concepts, including compute, storage, networking, and capacity planning.

• We design, develop, test, and operate cloud-native services that support OCI infrastructure planning and capacity management.
• We build and maintain backend services, APIs, workflow components, and automation for business-critical operational processes.
• We develop software that processes infrastructure, operational, and planning data at scale.
• We implement data ingestion, transformation, and analytics capabilities to improve forecasting accuracy and operational visibility.
• We partner with product managers, technical program managers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to deliver clear technical solutions.
• We take part in technical design reviews, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
• We diagnose and resolve production issues while improving monitoring, observability, reliability, and operational automation.
• We identify and implement practical improvements to workflows, system performance, and manual processes.
• We collaborate with related OCI teams to integrate with infrastructure, inventory, planning, and capacity-management systems.
• We mentor and support junior engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and day-to-day collaboration.
• We participate in on-call rotations and production support activities as needed.
• We contribute to capacity forecasting and planning services, infrastructure sourcing and deployment workflows, data pipelines and operational analytics platforms, operational reporting and visibility systems, process automation and workflow orchestration services, and cloud-native platforms supporting OCIs global infrastructure growth.
