Senior Platform Software Engineer - Merino

Salary: $92,500 - 209,500 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for 5+ years of software engineering experience building distributed systems, developer platforms, CI/CD systems, infrastructure automation, or cloud services.
• We need strong programming skills in Java, TypeScript, Python, Go, or comparable languages.
• We require experience running dependable cloud services on OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• We value hands-on experience with CI/CD, DevOps, release automation, infrastructure as code, containers, orchestration, or deployment pipelines.
• We need the ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver maintainable solutions across complex systems.
• We are looking for strong communication and collaboration skills.

• We design, implement, and run Merino platform capabilities for OCI-scale CI/CD and change workflow orchestration.
• We own implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, operational readiness, and production support for our platform services.
• We improve workflow reliability, deployment safety, scalability, observability, and developer experience.
• We build systems that connect build, release bundle, change management, approval, rollback, and deployment workflows.
• We break down complex platform challenges into clear, maintainable engineering solutions.
• We maintain high standards for code quality, system design, operational excellence, and long-term maintainability.
• We use production signals and customer feedback to identify and prioritize platform enhancements.
• We participate in design reviews, code reviews, debugging, and technical planning.
• We partner with engineering and product teams to deliver reliable Merino platform capabilities.
• We apply AI-assisted and agentic coding workflows effectively while preserving engineering rigor.
