Family Assistant- Washington, D.C.

A busy family in Northwest Washington, DC is seeking a proactive Family Assistant to support a family with three children (ages 8-11). This role combines childcare logistics, driving, household support, errands, scheduling, and administrative assistance. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who notices what needs to be done and takes initiative. The family is looking for someone organized, resourceful, flexible, and comfortable managing a fast-moving schedule with multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Drive children safely to and from school, sports, activities, appointments, and other commitments.

• Help coordinate and manage the children's schedules.

• Assist with school communications, emails, projects, appointments, and family logistics.

• Grocery shopping and household errands.

• Handle light household tasks and organization.

• Coordinate household vendors, services, repairs, and other appointments as needed.

• Assist with general administrative and organizational tasks.

• Anticipate the family's needs and help keep daily life running smoothly.

• Adapt quickly when schedules or priorities change.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Highly proactive and resourceful; able to take initiative with minimal direction.

• Excellent communication skills and professional judgment.

• Comfortable working with both adults and children.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 2:00 PM–7:00/8:00 PM. Flexibility to work weekends required
