This role is focused on delivering quality patient care in a general medical-surgical unit, providing support where needed across units 2 North and 2 West, and fostering a family-like work environment.

Key Responsibilities of the RN - Med Surg

• Provide direct patient care for up to 6 patients per nurse
• Utilize equipment such as wound vac, IV pumps, glucometers, and telemetry
• Document patient care using the editech system
• Participate in a work schedule that includes rotating weekends and holidays
• Float between units as required, maintaining a high standard of care
• Engage in positive interactions with patients and families, addressing concerns appropriately

Requirements of the RN - Med Surg

• Valid RN license
• BLS certification
• Proficiency in IV starts, NGT placement, wound care, and cardiac rhythm interpretation
