Job Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accountant in Monterey, California. This role entails a wide range of accounting responsibilities, including payroll processes, governmental accounting practices, fund accounting, and fiscal management. You will be working in a professional setting, where your knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and your ability to perform complex technical work will be crucial to our operations. Responsibilities Perform a wide range of accounting and reporting functions Utilize your knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in daily tasks Process and report transactions in accordance with Federal and State laws Maintain thorough knowledge of governmental accounting practices and procedures, fund accounting and fiscal management Handle payroll processes, regulations, and reporting requirements Utilize Accounting Software Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions Oversee accounts payable and receivable, auditing, and budget processes Maintain and update customer credit records Resolve customer inquiries and monitor customer accounts Use Great Plains (GPAC) for various accounting functions Qualifications Applicant must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role Proficiency with Accounting Software Systems is essential Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions is necessary Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC) is beneficial A solid understanding of Accounting Functions is expected Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential A strong background in Auditing is desirable Proficiency in Budget Processes is needed #J-18808-Ljbffr 6AM City, LLC
