Accountant

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for a professional with 2+ years of public accounting experience who is ready to move into a high-growth tech environment. You will play a critical role in building scalable accounting processes, ensuring GAAP and tax compliance, and providing the financial clarity needed to support our rapid growth. Job Responsibilities Financial Close and Reporting: Manage the full-cycle monthly and quarterly close process, including preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance (flux) analysis. Operational Accounting: Oversee daily operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, expense reporting, and payroll processing. Compliance and Tax: Support various tax filings including sales and use tax, property tax, unclaimed property, and payroll tax. Process Improvement and Automation: Identify opportunities to modernize the finance function using AI-enabled tools and cloud-based software to automate manual procedures. Process Documentation: Create and maintain detailed standard operating procedures (SOP), process flowcharts, and Risk and Control Matrices (RCMs) for core cycles. Audit Readiness: Lead the preparation of audit schedules for external auditors to ensure a clean and efficient year-end audit. Other Projects: Support various ad hoc projects as needed. Qualification and Skills Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2+ years of professional accounting experience, with a background in Big 4 public accounting preferred. Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles. Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions like pivot tables and VLOOKUPs. Hands‑on experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Proactive attitude with a commitment to accuracy and a high level of attention to detail.
