Payroll Analyst

The Payroll Analyst will support payroll operations and related employee data activities across the organization. This role is responsible for ensuring payroll information is processed accurately and on time, maintaining supporting records, addressing payroll-related issues, and assisting with related accounting and compliance activities. The position works closely with employees, management, internal departments, and external service providers to support effective payroll administration and maintain accurate information across systems. Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Work Arrangement: Fully In-Office (Mon-Fri) Key Responsibilities: Process recurring payroll activities and review information for accuracy and completeness. Review employee time and attendance data, research discrepancies, and coordinate necessary corrections. Administer employee deductions, withholdings, garnishments, and other payroll-related transactions. Prepare and maintain payroll information associated with retirement plans and other employee programs. Maintain accurate records related to employee time off and leave balances. Partner with internal teams to ensure employee information is accurate and consistent across payroll and HR systems. Coordinate with external payroll service providers and assist with system-related payroll activities. Research and resolve payroll questions, discrepancies, and other issues raised by employees and management. Review payroll transactions for compliance with internal policies, established procedures, and applicable regulations. Support required payroll reporting and related regulatory activities. Review payroll-related financial activity and system interfaces to help ensure accurate accounting and general ledger information. Maintain appropriate payroll records and handle confidential employee information with discretion. Assist with additional payroll, accounting, and administrative projects as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience. 5+ years of payroll experience, including experience with payroll processing and related systems. Working knowledge of payroll administration, including timekeeping, deductions, garnishments, employee leave, and retirement-related processes. Experience working with payroll and HR information systems. Understanding of accounting concepts related to payroll and associated financial transactions. Familiarity with payroll policies, procedures, compliance requirements, and regulatory guidelines. Strong computer skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple systems and applications. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to work effectively across different levels of an organization. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities, priorities, and deadlines. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
