Bookkeeper - Part-Time

Description

Child Care Council of Nassau, a private, nonprofit organization, is seeking a Part-Time Bookkeeper who will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the daily accounting operations of the organization. The Bookkeeper role manages accounts payable, banking activities, reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and financial recordkeeping while ensuring compliance with established policies and deadlines. This is a part-time role between 21 and 26 hours per week.

• At least two years of bookkeeping or accounting experience required.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger functions required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software required.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently, maintain accuracy, and meet deadlines.
• Experience with nonprofit accounting or nonprofit financial operations preferred.
