CLERK SPECIALIST

Job Summary The Bureau of Exceptional Education & Student Services requests a Clerk Specialist to work under the Senior Educational Program Director in the Instructional Support Services (ISS) section. The role involves high‑level administrative duties related to state education regulations, communication with the public and professional staff, and organization of documents and schedules. Responsibilities Review requirements for publications, documents, and forms in the bureau. Answer phone calls from the Bureau of Exceptional Education and Student Services mainline. Coordinate communication and scheduling for required activities. Assist with tracking and filing papers and electronic documents. Research materials for professional staff for conferences and meetings. Track and update data systems in Excel. Minimum Qualifications Currently a student with the ability to provide a class schedule upon request. Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written). Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with others. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel). Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments. Additional Information Level 2 background screening is required. Male applicants born on or after October 1, 1962, must be registered with the Selective Service System or possess an exemption letter. The position requires an on‑site schedule of 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Telework is not available.
