About the Role

In this role, you will provide hands-on, step-by-step training and ongoing advocacy to help individuals build great work habits, learn new skills, and hit their employment goals.

Key Responsibilities

As a Job Coach, your day-to-day will be active, rewarding, and highly collaborative:

• On-the-Job Training: Give clear, step-by-step instruction to help individuals learn new job tasks, adjust to their workplace, and maintain great work habits.

• Workplace Advocacy: Partner directly with local employers to set up worksite accommodations, design helpful job aids, and ensure a supportive environment.

• Independence Building: Teach individuals how to safely manage transportation to and from work and help them master day-to-day workplace social skills.

• Navigating Resources: Help clients handle basic paperwork, contact local agencies, and better understand how earning a paycheck connects with their current benefits.

• Team Support: Guide the individual's coworkers on how to offer natural peer support, ensuring everyone works together smoothly.

• Ongoing Check-ins: Provide regular, long-term follow-up support at the job site even after initial onboarding is complete to ensure lasting success.

Qualifications & Certification Requirements

To ensure our team delivers top-notch support, there are a couple of industry credentials required for this role.

All new hires must hold or obtain one of the following credentials within nine (9) months of their hire date :

1. A Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP) credential from the Association of People Supporting Employment First (APSE).

2. A Basic Employment Services Certificate of Achievement or a Professional Certificate in Employment Services from an Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators (ACRE) member.

Don't have these certifications yet? No problem!You can absolutely start working right away under the supervision of a certified team member while we help you prepare to get certified during your first nine months.
