Position Overview

Flex Care Chiropractic Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Fresno, California. Key Responsibilities

• Direct and implement physical therapy interventions aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, and enhancing muscle function in alignment with each patient's prescribed treatment plan.
• Oversee and support physical therapy assistants to guarantee the consistent and effective application of individual care plans.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' functional abilities through diagnostic tests to tailor effective treatment approaches.
• Assess clients' home environments to determine rehabilitation needs and recommend necessary modifications to promote independence.
• Deliver hands-on physical therapy services at clients' residences as directed by referring physicians.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, guiding clients through both manual and non-manual activities to facilitate recovery.
• Provide additional treatments such as traction and massage and apply relevant physical agents to optimize patient outcomes.
• Evaluate, fit, and adjust aforementioned prosthetics and orthotics, consistently liaising with physicians regarding any necessary changes.
• Develop, review, and continuously update care plans, ensuring they align with evolving patient needs and responses to therapies.
• Document clinical records comprehensively, including evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries for each client.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team conferences, providing insights on treatment strategies and collaborating on patient care plans.
• Engage with patients and families, offering consultation on therapy programs and devices, fostering their involvement in the recovery process.
• Instruct and supervise physical therapy assistants as applicable, ensuring they are adequately prepared to assist in patient care.
• Continuously evaluate care plans and community resources to enhance care delivery and patient engagement.
• Fulfill additional duties as assigned to further the goals and objectives of Flex Care Chiropractic Center.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will work with a diverse range of patients including post-operative clients, those recovering from injuries, and individuals with chronic orthopedic issues. Your role will significantly contribute to their rehabilitation, helping them regain functionality and independence through tailored therapeutic approaches. Your expertise will guide clients in achieving optimal physical health and quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current, valid PT licensure in California, in good standing.
• A minimum of one year of relevant experience in acute care or home care environments.
• Active CPR certification.
• Proficient in understanding and navigating federal, state, and agency-specific regulations governing physical therapy practices.
• Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence and integrity, enhancing patient care through continuous improvement.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, crucial for engaging clients and collaborating within a healthcare team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance for travel to client residences as needed.

Compensation and Benefits
