CNC Operator

Job Title: CNC Operator - $19-23/hr
Job Description
Join a high-volume manufacturing team producing precision automotive components. As a Production Associate, you will operate machinery to load and run parts, perform basic visual and dimensional inspections, and help maintain a clean, efficient, and climate-controlled production environment. This role allows candidates with previous machine operator experience to learn to operate CNC machines.
Responsibilities

• Load parts onto production machines and ensure proper placement and alignment before each run.
• Monitor machine operation throughout the production cycle to maintain consistent output and identify issues promptly.
• Perform basic inspections on parts as they come off the machine, checking for visible defects and verifying quality standards.
• Follow established production processes to run the same parts repeatedly with high accuracy and consistency.
• Use measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers, when required, to confirm part dimensions and tolerances.
• Support CNC machining operations, mills, lathes, industrial saws, press brakes, and other production equipment as assigned, based on experience.
• Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions to understand part specifications and production requirements, when applicable.

Essential Skills

• Prior machine operation experience.
• Ability to operate basic production machinery and follow standardized procedures.
• Previous CNC experience not required but will justify higher compensation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with CNC machining and operating CNC equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints for manufacturing and machining processes.
• Proficiency using micrometers and calipers for dimensional inspection.
• Exposure to mills, lathes, industrial saws, press brakes, and press operations.
• Familiarity with machining centers and controls such as Mazak, Haas, and Fanuc.
• Experience with quality inspection and assembly in a production setting.
• Comfort working with repetitive production runs and maintaining consistent quality.

Work Environment
The facility is extremely clean and fully climate controlled, providing a comfortable and well-maintained production setting. Work is performed on the manufacturing floor, where you will stand for the entire shift while operating machinery and handling parts.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $23.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
