About the Team The Administrative Teams at Alaska Behavioral Health work behind the scenes to ensure smooth daily operations for both our staff and our clients. The HR Assistant works under the direction of the HR Director as part of the HR Department.The HR Assistant provides clerical and administrative assistance in our HR department ensuring the smooth operation of various HR functions. We value teamwork, open communication, and continuous learning. What You’ll Do Support recruitment and onboarding processes, including job postings, offer letters, onboarding task coordination, and new hire orientation scheduling. Coordinate pre-employment requirements, including background checks, I-9 documentation, E-Verify, and related compliance tasks. Respond to inquiries and provide information to job applicants, employees, and department managers. Support compliance with relevant labor laws, regulations, and internal HR policies. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in the HRIS. Provide general administrative support to help the HR Department operate smoothly and effectively. Good To Know Position is based in Anchorage, Alaska Experience with ADP Workforce Now required; experience with WorkDay is preferred. Full-Time, Non-Exempt Salary range is $21.50 to $27.50 based on experience Eligible for up to $7,020 in incentive with the average being $2,600. What We Need from You Minimum high school diploma or GEDrequired; advancedcoursework in a relevant fieldsuch ashuman resources, organizational development, or business administration preferred. One year ofhuman resourcesexperience required, oran equivalentcombination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties oftheposition. Workingknowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, andapplicableregulations. Strong attention to detail, with excellentorganizationaland follow-throughskills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with applicants, employees, and managers. ProficiencywithHRIS systems andMicrosoftOffice Suite. Demonstrated abilityto handle sensitive information with confidentiality,discretion, and professionalism.
