About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Business Development to play a pivotal role in driving the growth strategy and enhancing sales capabilities. The successful candidate will be a key partner to the Chief Commercial Officer, with a focus on strengthening prospecting effectiveness, sales skills, and business development best practices. This leadership position requires a proven track record in developing and executing both organic and inorganic sales strategies, leading to portfolio expansion and sales growth. The role involves strategic planning, competitive intelligence, M&A, and the development of integrated customer roadmaps to foster new business. The ideal candidate will be an experienced commercial leader, adept at leading and building successful sales teams, and will be responsible for leading the U.S. business development organization with a strong emphasis on new customer acquisition and revenue growth. Applicants for the Vice President of Business Development role at the company should have a Bachelor's degree (MBA or advanced business degree preferred) and a minimum of 10 years' of progressive sales, business development, or commercial leadership experience, with at least 5 years' in a high-performing business development team leadership role. Extensive experience in selling warehousing solutions and closing warehousing contracts is essential, as is a demonstrated ability to develop and execute growth strategies that result in significant revenue expansion and market diversification. The role requires advanced proficiency in Salesforce CRM, Microsoft Office Suite, and various sales and business intelligence tools. The successful candidate will be a data-driven decision-maker, capable of leveraging technology to drive revenue growth, and will be expected to travel up to 50% of the time as needed for business.
