Position Overview

The Canvassing Team Lead is a hands on leadership role responsible for coaching, training, and developing a team of Residential Canvassers. You will work alongside the team in the field, lead by example, provide real time coaching, and help the team achieve its goals.

This role is a great opportunity for an experienced canvasser or door to door sales professional ready to take the next step into leadership, as well as an experienced leader coming from a high performance, production based environment.

What You'll Do:

Lead and Develop the Team

• Coach, train, and develop Residential Canvassers through hands on coaching and leading by example in the field.

• Motivate the team to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly performance goals.

• Provide real time feedback, role play, and coaching to help team members improve their conversations and results.

• Identify performance trends and work with team members to address opportunities for improvement.

Support Daily Field Operations

• Organize daily territories, equipment, resources, and field activities to keep the team set up for success.

• Work alongside the team in the field while helping maintain productivity and lead flow.

• Ensure team members are following established timelines, processes, and department expectations.

• Help maintain a safe, clean, and productive work environment.

Build a Strong Team Culture

• Create an encouraging, energetic, and accountable team environment where people are motivated to perform and grow.

• Serve as a go to resource for team member questions, challenges, and escalations.

• Build strong relationships with team members while maintaining clear performance expectations.

• Communicate team performance, challenges, and opportunities with Direct Marketing Leadership.

Drive Performance and Represent the Company

• Monitor team performance and help ensure department goals and expectations are met.

• Address performance concerns and participate in performance management when needed.

• Reinforce company standards, policies, procedures, and Signature Service expectations.

• Represent Renewal by Andersen professionally and build trust with homeowners through honest, authentic conversations.

• Complete necessary administrative responsibilities, including attendance, timecard, and time off reviews through Paylocity.

What We Are Looking For:

1+ year of experience in canvassing, door to door sales, field marketing, direct marketing, sales, or a related customer facing role.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport, clearly communicate expectations, and work with people from a variety of backgrounds and experience levels.

• High energy, positive attitude, and the ability to motivate others while maintaining accountability and productivity.

• Proven ability to consistently achieve goals in a performance driven environment.

• Highly organized, self motivated, and able to keep yourself and others on task.

• Comfortable coaching others, giving and receiving feedback, and having direct conversations when expectations or performance are not being met.

• Able to follow established processes and training methods while adapting your approach to different team members and situations.

• Valid driver's license and an insurable driving record.

• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and able to meet the physical requirements of the role, including frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching, repetitive motions, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Experience:

• Residential canvassing or door to door sales experience, particularly in a high volume or performance driven environment.

• Previous experience leading, supervising, coaching, training, or mentoring others.

• Experience leading a team in a production based, high volume, or performance driven environment.

• Experience using performance metrics or KPIs to monitor and improve team performance.

• Experience in home improvement, home services, remodeling, construction, or another residential service industry.
