Sr Advanced Project Engineer

Job Description As a Sr. Advanced Project Engineer at Honeywell, you will lead and manage advanced aerospace projects, driving innovation and ensuring successful delivery of cutting‑edge solutions. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align project goals with business objectives and customer requirements, playing a pivotal role in advancing aerospace technologies. You will report directly to our Engineering Director and work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a hybrid work schedule. For the first 90 days, new hires will report onsite Monday through Friday. In this role, you will impact the aerospace industry by delivering innovative projects that enhance performance, safety, and efficiency of aerospace systems, positioning Honeywell as a leader in aerospace technology. Responsibilities Lead and manage project planning, execution, and monitoring to ensure successful and on‑time delivery of aerospace projects. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Manage program to defined budget, scope, and period of performance, while identifying and mitigating project risks. Identify and mitigate risks to project success and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with internal and aerospace industry standards. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics. 5+ years of experience in advanced project engineering within the aerospace industry. 5+ years of project management, risk mitigation, and cross‑functional collaboration. Advanced degrees such as MS or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields. Experience leading complex aerospace projects and managing multidisciplinary teams. Experience with aerospace standards and regulatory requirements relevant to project execution and delivery. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Innovative mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and technology advancement. Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
