Scripps Health Administrative Services supports our five hospital campuses, 31 outpatient centers, clinics, emergency rooms, urgent care sites, along with our 17,000 employees, more than 3,000 affiliated physicians and 2,000 volunteers. This is a full-time, benefit eligible management position. This position will be onsite Monday-Friday at our 4S Ranch office location. Why join Scripps Health? The Manager, Payroll is accountable for all Payroll processing as well as managing the activities of all Payroll staff. Responsible for maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations, preparing and filing payroll tax returns, ensuring withholding and liability clearing and transmission of tax payments within prescribed or legal timelines. Leads development and maintenance of general ledger interfaces, supports financial reconciliation, and provides support to Finance with regard to data reporting and analysis. Manages the department fiscal budget. Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills AA Business or Accounting related Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification Certified Payroll Professional. Strong Excel skills. In house payroll and tax filing experience. Strong leadership experience. Healthcare experience. Lawson experience.
