Senior Technical Business Analyst

Salary: $150,000 - 150,000 per year Requirements:

• We need 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, including at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
• We expect a strong grasp of the software development lifecycle and Agile/Scrum ways of working.
• We need proven experience collaborating with technical teams on system design, APIs, databases, and integrations.
• We require proficiency with requirements tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or comparable platforms.
• We look for experience producing BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, and data dictionaries.
• We need strong SQL skills and the ability to interpret data models and schemas.
• We require excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A bachelors degree is required.
• Nice-to-have experience includes cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Nice-to-have exposure includes data analytics, BI tools, or data warehousing work.
• Nice-to-have experience in Energy and Agriculture (Beef).

• We elicit, document, and manage complex business and technical requirements across multiple stakeholder groups.
• We translate ambiguous business needs into clear functional and non-functional specifications.
• We create and maintain business process models, data flow diagrams, use cases, and user stories.
• We lead gap analysis and impact assessments for new initiatives and system changes.
• We act as a trusted advisor to senior business stakeholders and product owners.
• We facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and sprint ceremonies.
• We manage competing priorities and conflicting stakeholder interests with diplomacy and clarity.
• We present findings and recommendations to executive audiences.
• We work closely with architects, developers, and QA teams to validate technical solutions.
• We review and contribute to solution design documents, API specifications, and data models.
• We support system integration efforts, including defining integration requirements and data mappings.
• We participate in technical reviews and provide business context to development teams.
• We own the requirements traceability matrix and ensure end-to-end coverage through testing.
• We support UAT planning and execution, including writing test scenarios and managing defect triage.
• We contribute to project planning, estimation, and risk identification.
• We mentor junior BAs and help establish best practices within the team.
