Step into a contract opportunity supporting students' communication goals near Utica, MI. This position specializes in speech-language pathology within a school setting, offering a dynamic environment for professionals passionate about pediatric and healthcare-focused therapy. Whether you are an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or a recent Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) graduate, you will find a supportive atmosphere that values your expertise in both onsite and teletherapy services.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid state SLP licensure or eligibility for licensure
- CFY candidates encouraged to apply
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or CFY status
- Experience with pediatric clients, preferably within school environments
- Familiarity with both in-person and teletherapy delivery methods
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
- Provide direct and consultative SLP services to K-12 students, addressing a range of communication and swallowing disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and related consultations
- Deliver engaging therapy in-person and through virtual platforms as needed
