Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide evidence-based individual, couples, and family therapy, tailoring interventions to meet the unique needs of each client.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify psychological, relational, and behavioral concerns and develop tailored, client-centered treatment plans.

• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, which may include psychiatrists, social workers, and support staff, to develop and implement holistic treatment strategies.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in alignment with both New York state regulations and clinic policies.

• Participate proactively in regular supervision sessions, team meetings, and continued education opportunities to enhance clinical skills and best practices.

• Uphold the highest ethical standards set by the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy while ensuring compliance with licensure requirements.

• Engage in outcome-based treatment planning, regularly reviewing and adjusting therapeutic strategies based on client progress.

Qualifications\n

• A valid LMFT license in New York State is required.

• A Master’s degree or higher in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related counseling field.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience is essential, with preference given to candidates with outpatient experience.

• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is advantageous.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on effective communication, organizational abilities, and adaptability.

Valence Counseling Services offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, depending on experience and caseload.
