Direct Care Worker

University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Worker to provide high-quality care and support to clients in Lake Orion, MI. This role involves assisting individuals with daily living activities, promoting independence, and enhancing their quality of life in a supportive and respectful environment. Responsibilities Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Assist clients with mobility and transportation needs as required. Monitor and report any changes in clients' physical or emotional condition to supervisors. Help with medication reminders and ensure clients follow prescribed treatment plans. Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for clients. Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and their families. Comply with all company policies and procedures, including confidentiality and safety standards. Requirements Previous experience in direct care or a related field is an asset. Ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with clients and team members. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently. Must pass background checks. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required.
