Job OpportunityThis is a Night Shift position, working 3 twelve-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced candidate for a stepdown neuro position in a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background in progressive care, with at least 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty they are applying for.QualificationsMust have a valid permanent Ohio license or a compact state license in hand.Current certifications in BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) are required.Previous charge experience is preferred.Patient care experience in stepdown or progressive care units is preferred but not mandatory.Additional RequirementsMust be willing to work at least every other holiday.Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation is required.Candidates must pass these assessments with acceptable scores; there are two attempts maximum.A background check will be conducted, and candidates with open cases will not be accepted.Candidates must be nicotine-free unless in exempt categories such as nursing and CST roles.A negative 10-panel drug screen, including nicotine, must be completed within 12 months of the start date and updated annually.Facility DetailsFacility location: Cleveland, OH.Professional DevelopmentCandidates who remain on a continuous contract for a minimum of one year are required to complete annual competency assessments.Modules are billable for up to four hours; however, any additional pre-start training time will not be compensated.We look forward to receiving your application for this exciting opportunity to contribute to patient care in a dynamic hospital environment.
