Position Summary

This opportunity is for a critical care nursing role at a hospital setting in Cleveland, OH. The position involves providing care to patients in a stepdown neuro unit. The selected candidate will work day shifts, specifically 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in a progressive care unit (PCU) or stepdown neuro environment.
• Monitor patients' conditions and respond to changes in their health status.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records using established charting systems.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current and valid Ohio nursing license or a compact state license.
• Minimum of 12 months of permanent nursing experience in the specialty.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required, with active status necessary at the time of employment.
• Experience in a progressive care or stepdown unit is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to interpret ECG rhythms and complete safeMedicate assessments.

Work Requirements

• Availability to work at least every other holiday.
• Completion of necessary onboarding and assessment tests during orientation.
• Compliance with facility policies, including nicotine-free requirements for certain travelers.
• Successful background checks and drug screenings as mandated by the facility.

Additional Information

Travel candidates who remain on continuous contracts or return within the subsequent calendar year may have additional competency requirements.
