Job Description

As a Security Officer Perimeter Patrol in Sunnyvale CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech and telecom location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine patrols and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will deliver outstanding customer service and communication while supporting a caring agile and reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity every day.

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees visitors and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures location-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents alarms and/or critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office areas lobbies parking areas and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity verify credentials in accordance with location procedures and report suspicious behavior hazards and/or maintenance concerns.
• Support daily operations at a technology-focused location by remaining visible assisting with directions and questions and following post orders for after-hours activity deliveries and/or restricted areas.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state county or city issued security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
