This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys a diverse L&E practice and wants meaningful responsibility representing both private and public-sector clients. Position Overview The attorney will handle a broad range of labor and employment matters. The role will involve advising and representing employers, municipalities, public entities, and individual clients in employment-related disputes. Responsibilities will include: Defending employers against claims involving discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wrongful termination, and other employment-related matters Handling employment litigation from initial assessment through resolution Representing towns, municipalities, and other public entities in labor and employment matters Representing police officers and other public employees, including in discrimination and employment-related disputes Handling select plaintiff-side employment matters Conducting legal research and drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents Advising clients regarding employment policies, workplace disputes, and compliance issues Managing matters independently while working collaboratively with other attorneys and clients Qualifications New Jersey Bar admission required Experience practicing in labor and employment law Strong litigation, writing, research, and advocacy skills Experience with employment discrimination and retaliation matters strongly preferred Experience representing municipalities, public entities, police officers, or other public-sector clients is a plus Ability to manage multiple matters and communicate effectively with clients The Opportunity This position offers the opportunity to build a diverse L&E practice encompassing both defense and plaintiff-side work, while gaining exposure to sophisticated employment disputes involving private employers, municipalities, and public employees.
