Branch Sales Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Rental of trailers. BSM is responsible for renting trailers to the transportation marketplace. Personal sales calls, marketing and relationship building with the customer base. Long‑term leasing of trailers. Marketing of ancillary services such as collision damage waiver and protected trailer parking. P&L management – manage, predict and react to trends and results based on financial information in the P&L. Perform all assigned tasks safely, efficiently, timely, accurately and highly productively according to company policy. Contribute to the team effort to produce a quality product. Attend scheduled work hours regularly and maintain good attendance. Comply with all company policies and procedures. Prepare and maintain handbooks. Make a total of at least 10 scheduled sales calls per week (face‑to‑face customer visits). Additional in‑person sales calls are required around the scheduled visits. Practice active consultative sales philosophy and integrate it into sales presentations. Use a logically planned sales strategy; a sales plan should be submitted to the sales manager by Thursday of the prior week. Overnight travel required – minimum two weeks per month, three to four overnight stays each week. Log all sales calls and activity into the CRM system (Salesforce). All calls made the previous week must be in the system by Monday of the following week; use this information as a tool for account management. Work and communicate in a team environment. Other duties may be assigned as required by the company. Above is a list of the most important responsibilities and functions, which are essential to the position. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree or a successful track record in sales to the transportation industry. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong relationship management skills with branch employees, customers, and vendors. Business acumen and understanding of profit motives and drivers. Strong profit motivation; must understand profit drivers of the business. Experience selling value‑added services; showcase the company’s value‑added services on sales calls and presentations. Excellent at conflict resolution; skilled in resolving customer/company disputes amicably. Occasionally check in and out trailers on and off of rental. Assist operations manager in times of crisis to maintain a high level of customer service. High percentage of cold‑calling in a large branch territory. Core competencies: Strong work ethic. Desire to achieve – drive to reach a six‑figure income. Ambitious – willing to go above and beyond what is expected by the customer and the company. Training Orientation.
