Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide individual therapy sessions to adults experiencing work-related injuries, utilizing evidence-based practices in pain psychology.

• Conduct thorough assessments and develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs.

• Facilitate weekly psychoeducational classes that cover essential topics related to coping strategies, pain management, and mental wellness.

• Document all client interactions comprehensively in our electronic medical record (EMR) system, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Evaluate the clinical progress of clients, providing brief therapy sessions where appropriate, especially within the Functional Restoration Program (FRP).
\n
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of clinical best practices and incorporate them into care strategies, continually improving the effectiveness of treatment.

• Refer clients to additional therapeutic resources available within the clinic to enhance their recovery process.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on clients dealing with a range of psychological issues related to workplace injuries, which commonly include anxiety, depression, trauma, and chronic pain conditions. You will work closely with individuals who require integrated therapeutic approaches that consider both their mental and physical health challenges. A compassionate understanding of this patient demographic is crucial as you help guide them toward recovery.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Active California LCSW license, allowing you to practice in the state.

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in mental health, specifically using Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and mindfulness-oriented interventions.

• Strong skills in assessment and treatment planning specific to chronic pain conditions.

• Demonstrated ability to build rapport with patients and engage effectively with diverse populations.

• Proficient in verbal and written communication, with a focus on documenting clinical care meticulously.
