Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations by reviewing patient history and performing specific assessments to develop effective treatment plans.
• Explain evaluation findings and proposed treatment plans clearly to both patients and their families, actively involving them in setting achievable treatment goals.
• Implement treatment protocols with proficiency, adapting based on individual patient presentations and the evolving healthcare landscape.
• Consult with colleagues across various disciplines, documenting changes in patients' conditions that may require adjustments to their care plans.
• Manage discharge planning and follow-up care efficiently, including accurate documentation of patient interactions and progress to ensure clear and comprehensive records.
• Demonstrate effective time management to meet productivity standards while maintaining an organized schedule.
• Engage in community-based marketing initiatives to promote services and foster community connections.
• Contribute actively to departmental goals, ensuring compliance with all governmental and accreditation regulations.
• Pursue professional growth by participating in continuing education, and serve as a mentor for students or less experienced staff.
• Promote an excellent customer experience, ensuring accessible care and effectively addressing barriers.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with diverse patient populations, including those recovering from injuries, surgical procedures, or chronic pain conditions. Your approach will not only focus on physical rehabilitation but also on enhancing overall patient wellness, enabling them to return to their daily routines and attain their personal health goals.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Experience
