Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients.

• Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans that align with their unique needs, goals, and preferences.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to individual client profiles.

• Provide psychoeducation and support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, outlining treatment options and effective self-care strategies.
\n
• Continuously monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans based on outcomes and feedback.
\n
• Engage in collaborative care, working closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic treatment.

• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mood disorder therapies to enhance treatment methodologies.
\n
• Maintain client confidentiality and comply with legal and ethical standards when documenting client information.

• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and opportunities for professional growth and development.

• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs, working to reduce stigma and promote awareness of mental health issues within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on clients coping with mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. You will also offer support to diverse groups, such as homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence, helping them navigate their unique challenges through tailored therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is mandatory.

• Preference for candidates holding a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.

• Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental approach to understanding the experiences of clients.
