Accounting Manager

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager. This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing month-end close processes, and supporting strategic business decisions through financial analysis. The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys improving processes while maintaining strong financial controls. Key Responsibilities Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll oversight. Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules. Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies. Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Coordinate annual audits and serve as the primary contact for external auditors. Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets. Monitor cash flow and support treasury-related activities. Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation. Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing training and performance feedback. Partner with leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. Prior supervisory or management experience preferred. Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments. CPA or CPA candidate preferred but not required. Preferred Experience Experience working in a mid-sized or growing organization. Background in manufacturing, professional services, construction, healthcare, or distribution environments is a plus.
