Job Title: Sr. Property Accountant

Job Location: 100% REMOTE, but must reside within the US

Work Hours: Approx. 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM PST M-F

Salary: $85k-$105k base salary + 10% bonus + Comprehensive Benefits + 401k with 5% Match

Must have:

Experience — either:

• 5+ years Commercial or Retail Property Accounting experience, OR
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar + 2–3 years Commercial Property Accounting experience

Also required:

• Advanced Excel, including VLOOKUPs
• Strong GAAP knowledge
• Budget preparation experience

Nice-to-Have:

• MRI (preferred) or Yardi

Please Note: Retail property accounting experience is not required. Open to candidates from other commercial property types; just not residential property.

Job Details

Our client is seeking a hands-on Sr. Property Accountant to support a retail property in El Cajon, CA. This is a backfill opportunity due to an internal transfer, offering strong mentoring support and opportunities for advancement. This role is ideal for an experienced accountant looking to grow within a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day property accounting activities in accordance with GAAP
• Prepare monthly financials and reforecasts
• Manage cash posting and reconciliations
• Prepare budgets and CAM/pass-through reconciliations
• Oversee the Accounting Assistant
• Partner with property management and corporate accounting teams

Must have:
