Step into a rewarding contract role supporting K-12 students as a dedicated Physical Therapist for the 2026-2027 school year. Situated near California, MD, this part-time opportunity is perfect for professionals passionate about delivering therapeutic services within an educational environment.
As a valued member, you’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to help students achieve their physical goals and thrive in their school setting.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current and valid Physical Therapist license for the state of Maryland
- Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is strongly preferred
- Ability to work effectively with students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive school climate
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized physical therapy plans for students based on IEP goals and teacher input
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and school staff to integrate therapy into classroom activities and daily routines
- Document and maintain accurate records in accordance with school and state protocols
- Provide guidance and support to staff regarding adaptive equipment and mobility needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student progress reviews
Role Highlights:
- Flexible, part-time schedule averaging 20-25 hours per week
- Academic calendar, beginning August 10th, 2026 and concluding June 17th, 2027
