Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches to cater to client needs effectively.

• Assess new clients through comprehensive history taking and diagnostic evaluations, collaborating with patients and multidisciplinary teams to determine suitable treatment options.

• Engage with the Clinical Director to design, implement, and improve program activities, ensuring each client receives an optimal therapeutic experience.

• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to share insights and collaborate effectively with psychiatric providers and fellow clinical staff.

• Create individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique circumstances and goals of each client, ensuring measurable progress and adaptive methodologies.

• Document client progress through updated assessments and evaluations using approved electronic health records, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
\n
• Evaluate the effectiveness of therapy techniques and interventions, adjusting strategies based on real-time client feedback and outcomes.

• Complete additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management to support organizational goals and enhance departmental functions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role requires a compassionate approach to working with a diverse array of clients, including children, families, and individuals facing developmental differences. Counselors will address a broad spectrum of mental health challenges, utilizing various evidence-based treatment modalities to promote healing and development. Your ability to connect with clients from all walks of life is essential to fostering trust and effective therapeutic relationships.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Behavioral Health, or a related field.

• Current and active licensure in the state of Washington as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, particularly with children and families dealing with developmental differences.
\n
• Strong foundational knowledge of various empirically supported therapy approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, and social-constructionism.

• Genuine commitment to client-centered care, demonstrating an ongoing desire to enhance therapeutic practices based on client feedback and outcomes.

• Open-mindedness and eagerness to learn from multidisciplinary colleagues and community resources.

Preferred Experience\n

In addition to the basic qualifications, candidates with experience in teletherapy platforms and a background in integrating diverse approaches into treatment plans will be given preference. Familiarity with the unique challenges faced by families in need of mental health support will also be advantageous.
