Chief Human Resources Officer

Role Description
The Lucky Foundation is seeking a human resource expert to join our Advisory Board of Directors as the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). The CHRO will be responsible for providing direction, guidance, and leadership.
The CHRO will develop and lead HR strategies across the organization, covering:
- Workforce planning
- Talent management
- Employee development and relations
- Organization development
- Compensation and benefits administration
- Regulatory compliance
Responsibilities include:
- Determining and directing staffing goals and strategies to support productive and profitable business operations.
- Providing leadership and focus on advancing the company’s vision.
- Guiding the Talent Acquisition team and working cross-functionally with Legal Counsel on employment law.
- Managing performance management and volunteer relations with the Philanthropic Engagement team.
- Providing management, leadership, and direction to HR leadership.
- Acting as a senior-level advisor to executives and employees regarding HR trends and issues.
- Guiding management teams in HR matters and developing policies according to laws and regulations.
- Overseeing participation in EEO, ADA, FMLA, and other regulations to avoid litigation.
- Ensuring the Foundation can attract, recruit, and retain top-quality talent with competitive benefits.
- Managing, evaluating, updating, and reporting on a comprehensive compensation plan.
- Establishing short and long-term goals and budgets for HR expenses.
- Developing and implementing the company’s human resources business plan.
- Maintaining knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR.
- Performing all other duties and responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience with KPI metrics and OKR framework.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Knowledge of and experience with various human resource information systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Requirements
- MBA or MA/MS in human resources or a related field. (Required)
- A minimum of 15 years of HR experience, with at least one position advising C-Suite executives. (Required)
- Multi-state employment law experience. (Required)
- SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification is preferred but not required.
- Non-Profit experience is preferred but not required.
