Customer Service Representative I

Our client is seeking a motivated Customer Service Representative I to support customers within an industrial automation and distribution environment. This role serves as a primary point of contact for customers, managing inquiries, quotations, order processing, and customer support activities while ensuring a high level of service and responsiveness.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting customers in a manufacturing or distribution setting and possess strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Success in this role requires the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering exceptional customer experiences and supporting company sales objectives.

Customer Service & Support

• Manage a high volume of incoming customer emails and phone calls
• Respond to customer inquiries promptly, accurately, and professionally
• Provide product information and assist customers with product-related questions
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through exceptional service

Order Management

• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Enter orders into company systems and validate order requirements
• Provide order acknowledgements and status updates
• Monitor orders and ensure timely fulfillment

Quotations & Sales Support

• Prepare and provide customer quotations
• Support sales initiatives and departmental goals
• Identify opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction and repeat business
• Assist customers in selecting appropriate products and solutions

Vendor & Supplier Coordination

• Coordinate with third-party vendors and suppliers to fulfill customer orders
• Monitor supplier performance and delivery timelines
• Resolve delivery or fulfillment issues as needed

Returns & Issue Resolution

• Initiate returns and exchange processes
• Research and resolve customer concerns
• Maintain departmental service standards and metrics
• Ensure customer issues are resolved promptly and professionally

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with operations, sales, vendors, and internal departments
• Support process improvement initiatives
• Contribute to continuous improvement and operational excellence efforts
