Friedmans Hell's Kitchen is looking for a strong, hands-on Kitchen Manager to lead our 35th Street kitchen.
We’re looking for someone who takes ownership of the kitchen, leads by example, and is passionate about consistency. The right person will make sure every dish leaving the kitchen is executed the way it is supposed to be — every shift, every day.
This is a great opportunity for a kitchen leader who loves developing people, creating structure, and maintaining the standards that make Friedmans what it is.
THE ROLE
The Kitchen Manager is responsible for leading the kitchen team and maintaining consistent execution of the existing Friedmans menu.
You will work closely with the General Manager and restaurant leadership to make sure the kitchen is organized, properly staffed, well-trained, and consistently delivering great food.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the kitchen team with confidence, consistency, and accountability
- Maintain consistent execution of the current Friedmans menu
- Ensure every dish meets Friedmans standards for quality, portioning, presentation, and taste
- Be present and actively lead during service
- Train and coach cooks to execute recipes and procedures correctly
- Set clear expectations and hold the team accountable
- Create a positive, respectful, and professional kitchen culture
- Ensure proper prep and readiness for every service
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen
- Communicate effectively with the GM and front-of-house leadership
- Identify issues quickly and solve them before they impact the guest
- Lead by example and be willing to jump in wherever the kitchen needs you
