Make a difference across diverse educational settings as a contract Occupational Therapist. This assignment, located near Joliet, IL, offers a unique opportunity to work in four school buildings: two elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. You'll have the chance to support students with a wide range of needs, expanding your experience while engaging with different age groups and school environments. The caseload is based on minutes per quarter (8,000–9,000), offering exposure to a dynamic therapy schedule.

The position starts ASAP and extends through May 25, 2027. Hours are 35 per week, structured across seven hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. This is an in-person role, and only candidates able to work onsite will be considered.

Requirements:

• Current Occupational Therapy (OT) license; please provide your license number when applying
• Prior experience providing OT services in schools or with pediatric populations strongly preferred
• Familiarity with handling caseloads based on service minutes rather than students
• Flexibility to travel between multiple school sites within the district
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate students and develop individualized treatment plans based on their specific developmental and academic needs
• Deliver OT sessions as outlined in students' IEPs, documenting service minutes and progress
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support student success
• Adapt therapy activities and materials to various age groups and learning environments
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute insights for student growth
