Clients partner with Smaart Power for inventive, intelligent engineering that supports modern, safe, and stable power systems. Role Description The Finance Operation Specialist is a part-time, remote role responsible for supporting the financial and operational backbone of Smaart Power LLC. This role includes managing day-to-day financial processes such as invoicing, accounts payable and receivable tracking, expense monitoring, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and timely reporting. The specialist will assist with project-related financial administration, including budget tracking, cost allocations, and financial status updates for internal stakeholders. Responsibilities also involve maintaining financial records, preparing basic financial summaries, supporting operational workflows, and collaborating with sales and project teams to align financial operations with business objectives. The Finance Operation Specialist will work closely with leadership to improve financial procedures, streamline reporting, and maintain compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong analytical skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making. Candidates should possess clear and professional communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and present financial information in an accessible manner. Candidates should possess sales-related awareness or experience to understand revenue processes, client billing, and financial implications of business development activities. Candidates should possess operations management capabilities to support process improvement, workflow coordination, and efficient financial operations. Candidates should possess project management skills to track budgets, monitor timelines, and coordinate financial tasks across multiple projects. Proficiency with accounting or ERP software and spreadsheets (e.g., Excel or similar tools). Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial controls. Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage priorities, and meet deadlines. Prior experience in finance operations, accounting, or business administration is beneficial. Associate or bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field is preferred.
