Working Capital Relationship Manager IV CORPORATE BANKING Business Business Plantation, FL, US 9 days ago Requisition ID: 2562 The Working Capital Relationship Manager IV is responsible for originating and structuring trade finance and asset-based lending transactions as part of its Working Capital Solutions business unit. This role sources opportunities, structures facilities, and takes them through credit approval, documentation, and funding; maximizes share of wallet and product penetration; and promotes and cross-sells Bank products and services with the objective of servicing, maintaining, developing new relationships, increasing bank revenues, and identifying current and potential business opportunities for the Bank Originate trade finance and ABL opportunities across payables finance, supply chain finance, receivables purchase and discounting, inventory finance, forfaiting, and LC-backed structures for middle-market and large corporate clients. Lead deal structuring from first conversation through close, including facility design, eligibility criteria, advance rates, borrowing base mechanics, concentration limits, covenants, and collateral and perfection under UCC Article 9. Prepare credit submissions and present transactions to Credit, working with underwriters to move deals through approval, documentation, and funding. Run diligence on obligors, sellers, and underlying trade flows, including cross-border, sanctions, and KYC/AML considerations, alongside Compliance and Legal. Support the Managing Banker in building risk distribution capability, including participations, syndications, and warehouse or originate-to-sell arrangements. Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, sponsors, non-bank partners, and other banks. Monitor portfolio performance, borrowing base reporting, and early-warning indicators for assigned relationships. Cross-sell treasury management, FX, and other bank products to trade finance and ABL clients. Work with Operations and Technology on process, servicing, and reporting for the trade finance platform. Manage and develop analysts and associates, and contribute to business planning and pipeline reporting. Promote and cross-sell various products and services through telephone calls, mailing notices and face-to face visits, with the objective of servicing, maintaining, developing new relationships, increasing the deposit and loan portfolio, increasing the deposit and loan portfolio, increasing bank revenues and identifying current and potential business opportunities for the bank. Provide personalized attention to all bank customers in order to provide better service, attract and attain new customers and increase the presence of Amerant Bank, N.A. in the market. Know and increase the Share of Wallet of a customer in order to retain them and keeping them engaged increasing their lifetime value. Extensive knowledge of credit and underwriting standards in accordance with the bank’s credit policy guidelines. The ability to evaluate, monitor, analyze, and control overall quality of existing credit portfolio, including related depository relationships and their activity; develop strategies to accommodate customer needs, focusing on adequate growth of relationships. Work on commercial credit as well as commercial real estate loan presentations when Credit Committee approval level is required. Approve loans and other banking transactions within lending authority. Evaluate and take action to adequately manage and control customer overdraft and uncollected funds transactions following approval limit guidelines in order to accommodate and service customers in a financially feasible and prudent manner, with minimum risk exposure to the bank. Review account activity to identify, evaluate, monitor and make any recommendation deemed necessary in order to assess, reduce, eliminate or control any current or prospective risks to earnings or capital arising from violations of, or nonconformance with, BSA, laws, rules regulations, prescribed practices, internal policies and procedures or ethical standards. Ensure that officers do business within the Bank’s policies and parameters, maintaining the desired level of exposure and risk with respect to BSA. Represent Amerant Bank N.A. in different community and economic development activities such as business chambers and community related associations. Ensure preventive measures are carried out to fully comply with current rules, regulations and internal policies relating to risks pertaining to BSA, USA Patriot Act, OFAC and other AML related issues Identify, evaluate, monitor and make any recommendation deemed necessary to the Risk Management Committee member in order to assess, reduce, eliminate or control any current or prospective risks to earnings or capital arising from violations of or nonconformance with laws, rules, regulations, prescribed practices, internal policies and procedures or ethical standards. Minimum Education and/or Certifications Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in business administration, banking, finance or accounting. Minimum Work Experience Requirements: 10+ years of direct experience originating and structuring trade finance (both payables and receivables) and ABL transactions at a bank, commercial finance company, or credit fund. A record of closed transactions, with deal sizes, structures, and counterparties you can speak to. Working knowledge of ABL underwriting, borrowing base and field exam practices, and UCC Article 9. Familiarity with cross-border trade finance and rule sets Exposure to syndications, participations, or other risk distribution. Strong credit judgment and financial analysis skills, including credit memo writing. Excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to work with clients, credit, and legal partners. Technical and/or Other Essential Knowledge : MS Office Skills, including MS Word Advanced, MS Excel Advanced, MS PowerPoint Advanced, MS Project Level II and MS Visio Level I required. Banking regulations applicable to lending. Cash flow analysis. Functional Skills & Knowledge Requirements: Must be a team player, have the ability to work under pressure, have a professional image and be able to resolve problems and conflicts. Must be able to prioritize work and effectively manage time and have the ability to manage change.
