Key Responsibilities

As a Family Nurse Practitioner at FlexStaff Medical Center, your role will be multifaceted and central to our healthcare delivery model:

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments and detailed physical examinations for patients of all ages, from newborns to seniors.
• Order, perform, and interpret various diagnostic tests, including laboratory tests and imaging, to inform your clinical decisions.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary care team, including physicians, nurses, and specialists, to develop and implement individualized patient-centered care plans.
• Prescribe medications and recommend appropriate treatment modalities, ensuring that patients understand their treatment regimens.
• Provide health education and counseling, empowering patients and their families with vital information to manage their health.
• Engage in regular team meetings and case conferences to discuss patient progress, share insights, and coordinate comprehensive care strategies.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters in our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Enhance and contribute to quality improvement initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes and increasing the efficiency of care delivery.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A valid and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in New York State.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, with a focus on family practice or related field.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience working as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
• Strong understanding of healthcare practices, procedures, and current protocols.
• Excellent clinical assessment, diagnostic, and patient management skills.
