Work Environment

The position is full-time and primarily involves onsite work in patients' homes, which allows for a more personalized approach to therapy. Our therapists benefit from a structured support system, including mentorship from seasoned clinicians and collaboration with other healthcare professionals. The role typically follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients in their home environments to identify functional limitations and create effective, individualized treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based interventions, utilizing the latest therapeutic techniques to promote optimal recovery, such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities.
• Document all treatment sessions accurately and thoroughly through our electronic medical record (EMR) system to ensure effective communication with team members and continuity of care.
• Educate patients and their families on exercises, self-care techniques, and lifestyle modifications to enhance rehabilitation outcomes and support long-term health.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required; advanced degrees (Master's or Doctorate) are preferred.
• Current California PT license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Strong problem-solving abilities to assess patient needs and adapt treatment modalities effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling the establishment of rapport with patients and collaboration with colleagues.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of physical therapy experience is required, candidates with experience in outpatient orthopedic settings will have a significant advantage. Familiarity with home care practices, and rehabilitation techniques, as well as a proactive approach to patient engagement, will enhance the effectiveness of the candidate.
