Work Environment

The setting for this position is home care, allowing you to deliver therapies in the comfort of our patients' residences. This unique environment fosters a compassionate one-on-one interaction, tailored specifically to each patient's needs. Operating mainly from Monday to Friday, your schedule will align with typical business hours (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM), giving you a balanced work-life arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical abilities and educational backgrounds to generate effective therapy plans.
• Implement evidence-based treatment methodologies to enhance mobility, strength, and coordination.
• Provide hands-on therapy such as manual techniques and therapeutic exercise tailored to individual patient needs.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously using the WebPT system, ensuring accurate and accessible health records.
• Engage with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to develop comprehensive care strategies.
• Educate patients and their families about their conditions and necessary interventions to foster compliance and understanding.
• Adjust treatment modalities based on ongoing assessments and patient feedback to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus in this role will be on patients with orthopedic conditions, which may include post-operative recovery, chronic pain management, and sports-related injuries. Utilizing a tailored approach, you will address each patient's unique circumstances, applying clinical expertise to optimize rehabilitation outcomes while empowering patients to regain independence in their daily activities.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Possession of a valid California Physical Therapist license, or eligibility to secure licensure.
• Demonstrated ability to apply problem-solving skills and a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
• Effective communication skills that foster a positive client-therapist relationship.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in orthopedic outpatient settings, providing treatment and rehabilitation services.
• Previous experience in home care settings, enhancing your understanding of the individual needs of patients within their living environments.
• Familiarity with record-keeping systems such as WebPT and a working knowledge of various therapeutic modalities.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $130,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
