Property Accounting Manager

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Property Accounting Manager to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $50 to $54 per hour.

Job Responsibilities :

• Analyze and review financial information, reconcile bank accounts and financial statements, prepare journal entries, and assist with budgets.
• Drive the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing financial reporting packages, variance analysis, executive summaries, budgets, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Develop, implement, and maintain accounting controls, policies, and practices to enhance departmental workflow and ensure adherence to established standards and procedures.
• Liaise with auditors, coordinate, and prepare documentation for the fiscal year-end financial audit.
• Work closely with property managers and regional managers to ensure timely and accurate pre-close activities are recorded.
• Recruit, interview, develop, provide corrective feedback, and hire associates.
• Proactively follow up with clients regarding property profitability and address client inquiries in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• CPA license preferred
• 3 -5 years of experience in an accounting role
• Direct management experience required
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel) and accounting software's

Experience :

• Knowledge of GAAP in the multi-family property management industry is a plus
• Accuracy in problem-solving and analytical with financial data and market trends
• Strong communication and time management skills
