Job Responsibilities

• Create Tailored Treatment Plans: Understand the unique needs of each patient and design personalized therapy interventions to help them reach their functional aspirations
• Implement Effective Therapeutic Techniques: Employ evidence-based methods to improve patients' motor skills, cognitive function, and daily life activities
• Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work side-by-side with OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nurses to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care
• Educate Patients and Their Families: Provide guidance to patients and caregivers on therapy approaches that facilitate continued progress outside of the clinical setting
• Monitor Progress and Document Outcomes: Keep track of clinical results and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure patients remain on track

Education Requirements

• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
• Ongoing education or post-graduate certifications enthusiastically encouraged

Licensure and Certifications

• Active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license
• NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification is required
