Accounting Specialist

Accounting specialists manage a variety of accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and reporting. They ensure the accuracy of financial data, maintain compliance with internal controls, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the accounting department. This role is essential for maintaining organized financial records and supporting day-to-day business operations. Process and log accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts and general ledger entries Assist with month- and year-end closing procedures Prepare and maintain financial reports, spreadsheets and documentation Monitor and resolve discrepancies in invoices, payments and account balances Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data and reporting Maintain compliance with company policies and accounting standards Qualifications: Communication and customer service skills Organization and project management skills Strong mathematical skills Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping Superb time management and detail orientation Ability to keep company and vendor confidentiality Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ability to learn other computer software systems rapidly Experience in accounts payable or general accounting Experience in driving process improvement Compensation: Full benefits included (PTO, 401K, vision, dental, life, and health insurance) Starting compensation varies depending on experience $25/hr to $30/hr. #J-18808-Ljbffr
