Administrative Assistant III
The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is looking for a Full-Time Administrative Assistant III who completes special projects as requested by the Deputy Warden/Associate Deputy Warden/Administrator. This position also researches and responds to public inquiries, drafts letters for Deputy Warden's signature, coordinates special events, meetings and employees recognition, maintains Deputy Warden's calendar, and inventory of office equipment and supplies at the Arizona State Prison Complex (ASPC) – Phoenix.
Job Duties:
- Researches and compiles reports, letters, inquiries, and policy updates
- Maintains operating budget to include purchasing and tracking expenditures
- Tracks disciplinary actions and preparation of final outcome documents
- Completes projects as assigned
- Coordinates special event fundraisers
- Conducts the Capital Equipment Inventory
- Drives on State business
- Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs): Knowledge of:
- Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA) personnel rules and ADCRR policies and procedures
- Grammatical formatting using concise, specific, and grammatically correct non-technical language
- Organizational movement
- Management of business practices and work processing
- Accounting and budgeting procedures
Skill in:
- Written and verbal communication
- Establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships
- Organization
- Project management and composing correspondence
Ability to:
- Plan, analyze and coordinate activities and establish priorities
- Develop effective operating procedures
- Assess situations and make sound decisions
- Interprets policies and procedures
- Work in a prison environment
Selective Preference(s): Working knowledge of computer programs, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite. Three (3) years of responsible administrative experience reporting to a Manager or Administrator.
Pre-Employment Requirements: Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation and drug test.
