Work Environment\n

This position offers the unique opportunity to work remotely while directly supporting school-aged children. You will collaborate closely with school administrators, teachers, and school health personnel to assess and address the diverse mental health needs of students. The flexibility of remote work allows for efficient collaboration while maintaining a focus on student-centered care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive individual and group therapy sessions tailored to students, utilizing evidence-based models such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including teachers, psychologists, and school nurses—to design and implement bespoke treatment plans aimed at addressing each student’s unique psychological needs.

• Engage in crisis intervention as necessary, providing immediate assistance to students experiencing acute emotional distress and facilitating referrals to additional resources when required.
\n
• Maintain compliance with all HIPAA regulations by accurately documenting patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in our secure electronic health records system.

• Participate actively in staff meetings, case conferences, and peer supervision sessions designed to enhance clinical practices and share insights on best practices in mental health service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on school-aged children and adolescents, addressing a spectrum of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and trauma exposure. You will play a vital role in supporting students through their emotional difficulties, enhancing not only their mental health but also their academic performance and overall well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Georgia.

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in mental health counseling, ideally within outpatient or school-based settings.

• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic methodologies and the ability to implement these techniques independently with clients.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
