Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) serving multiple elementary schools in a vibrant educational community near Greer, SC. This position is designed to provide valuable support during a maternity leave from approximately February 16th, 2027, through May 14th, 2027. As a COTA, you’ll contribute to student success in an engaging environment that prioritizes individualized care and teamwork.
You’ll collaborate directly with an Occupational Therapist to deliver therapy services at several elementary campuses, offering impact and support to students in need. Each day you’ll treat 9–10 students in focused, thirty-minute sessions, building trusted relationships while encouraging growth and development.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license for South Carolina
- Experience working within school settings or with pediatric populations is highly preferred
- Ability to travel between multiple elementary school locations as assigned
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, educators, and the therapy team
- Commitment to delivering quality, student-centered care
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, onsite occupational therapy interventions as directed by a supervising OT
- Support student development in fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills according to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and session activities
- Collaborate closely with school staff and families to maximize support for each student
- Manage schedule efficiently to ensure services across multiple campuses
