Step into a rewarding contract role supporting the needs of students across several schools near Taylors, SC. A skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is needed to cover a maternity leave from approximately February 16th through May 14th, 2027. You’ll provide essential support as part of a collaborative team, directly partnering with one of the district’s Occupational Therapists to deliver services across several elementary campuses: Robert E. Cashion, Bryson Elementary, Fork Shoals, Greenbrier, and Fountain Inn/Grove Elementary.
In this full-time opportunity (37.5 hours per week), your day will focus on impactful, direct treatment sessions—typically nine to ten students per day, with each session lasting about 30 minutes. Your commitment helps ensure ongoing progress for each student during this key coverage period.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in South Carolina
- Experience in school-based settings or working with pediatric populations is strongly preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with supervising OTs and school teams
- Strong organizational and communication skills to manage multiple sites and maintain quality documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to assigned students as directed by the supervising OT
- Maintain thorough documentation and timely progress reports
- Travel between assigned elementary schools as part of your daily schedule
- Collaborate with school staff, teachers, and families for optimal student support
